It's hard to know what you mean when you say "scam". If you mean, do they do what you pay them to do, they most likely do.
The better question is: does blasting your resume generate interviews? The answer is:
almost never.
Statistics from the best-selling book of all time, "What Color Is YOUR Parachute?" claim that employers only hire one person for every 1,500+ resumes they receive. More proof that a resume is an extremely ineffective way to generate interviews...whether it's blasted or sent one at a time. |

Wow--this is indeed an interesting statistic. One in 1500+ resumes? Man, you have definitely depressed me this evening...
In any event, I guess that this is just more evidence that it's not about what you know, but it's much more about who you know (like anybody needed to be reminded about this again).
