Invite you to his room after few drinks? Listen, this jerk is not interested in you especially considering his demeanor next day.
Send him email then follow up couple of days later with a phone call. Have script ready. If he not so responsive then stop wasting your time.

I don't know if i would even recommend wasting your time with this guy...as he appears to have ulterior motives and his own self-interest in mind...not yours.
But this is a tough market and you'll need any leverage you can get.
