I'm working toward certification as a Landscape Designer. Australia, England (Commonwealth nations as a whole) have well-developed apprenticeship programs in this field. Not so in the US. I've browsed the Association of Professional Landscape Designers website; local landscape build/design sites; horticultural employment boards, etc. Job descriptions generally require very specific experience in this or that aspect of landscape design with credentials of x number of years. Not there yet. Any suggestions for apprenticing myself in this field? Immersion in this field is my short-term goal while completing my core curriculum. And still pay the bills. Thanks.
