Topic Name: Declining a job offer already accepted?
Message Name: how so I navigate this situation diplomatically?

Message: I was offered a generous salary with all the standard benefits by one company. The recruiter hurried me to make a decision. I said I need 2 days. I just accepted today. Since then all my other recruiters have come out of the woodwork and want me to go to interviews. There's one particular job that would be a much more interesting job, at a very prestigious non-profit. Almost the same salary and probably same benefits. I say almost, because the total is based on a non-specified end-of-the-year bonus. I reluctantly agreed to interview at this second place since it may be a better option. They know that I already have an offer (not that i've accepted) so they know they need to decide fast. In case I do get this second job, how would I decline the first one i've already accepted in an appropriate manner. What would you say and by what means (phone, email, etc.)? It's a situation I may not be placed in buy in case, I'd appreciate all your comments.
