Hi. Thanks foltz79 for the advice. I am from Miami and have been struggling as well to get a job in NYC. I have experience, good credentials but no responses so far (searching actively for 2 months). I am currently in NJ for the next few weeks staying w/family but $$ is getting tight and I don't even get any responses in Miami either. How long did it take you to make the move to SF? What advice can you give me. Thanks |

use the family in NJ address on your resume. the #1 reason that you would or will not get called is because you are not a local candidate. as soon as i used a buddies address i started getting 2-3 calls a week. all you really wanna do is get them on the phone so you can talk to them and explain. just tell em you are moving there even if you dont get the job. if you dont get the job how will they know if you really moved or not?
