Dear Mr. MBA,
I am sorry that you have not been able to find a job. I am also a college graduate and have been unable to find a job in my field. I graduated with a B.S. in petroleum engineering back in 1987 when the industry was down a bit. Also, my grades are quite bad as I have only a 2.42.
I am sorry to say that I do not have any good sound advice for you. One thing, I would suggest that you really watch your spending as you may get into trouble. One more thing, be sure to watch out for anyone that offers to help you obtain a job for money. For example, I contacted a person not too long ago who was confident that they could place me on a job but she wouold need a fee of $5,000 up front. Please be careful and watch out for these crooks because if you think that you are in trouble now just sit back and think for a minute - it could be worse. So, my little bit of advise, as a fellow jobhunter, is be careful!
Sincerely,
Unemployed |

You sound like you have almost given up. Looking for a job just has to be your new business. Let stats work for you! Go out there like others have said; knock on doors, do your research etc.
In networking my experience is do not limit yourself just to the corporate domain; call Aunt Katie; Start going to your church, synagogue, mosque, Pujah etc. and talk to people! Make new contacts!
Have your own business card to carry around.
Go to the high school re-union in the coming year. Be interested in your neigbors find out who they work for etc.
Goooo get it!
