I am a May 04 MBA graduate with still no job... I have exhausted all my resources- Career services (which was useless, often referring me to contacts who don't respond or stale job leads), former colleagues, business contacts, alumni, friends, tennis partner, internet, company websites, career focused organizations, headhunters, agencies, basically anyone who will listen.. You name it.. STILL NO JOB...
What are people who are May 04 graduates out of school doing to find leads and interviews?? It seems like once you're out of that bubble called academia, you're SOL... |

Have you tried targeting specific companies? Present a list of target companies to your network (e-mail), updating it every week or so, and ask them for contacts within those companies. Your network may be unclear as to HOW to help.
Also, have you joined associations and volunteer groups whose members may include people in your field, or at least more people who may know people in you field? What kind of "career focused organizations" have you tried?
