Thank you for your response. I have no affiliation whatsoever with LHH. I am just someone off the street who wants to hear from those who have utilized an outplacement service, and what their experiences might have been like. No conspiracy theory applicable here.
If anyone out there has worked with an outplacement firm I would definitely be interested in whether or not you thought it was worth the time and expense. I am pretty skeptical at this point.

I delt with an outplacement firm when during a bloodbath at one of my previous employers. They did nothing useful for me. I agree, they are usually hired by the employer as a ploy to make it appear as though they are compassionate about the poor scmucks they are going to lay off. It's all bull crap.
