Outplacment firms are hired by employers whenever an executive is dismissed/terminated/fired.
The reason employers hire them is because they hope that by doing so, a terminated employee will be less likely to sue for wrongful termination.
So, the Outplacement firm's loyalty is to the Employer who hires them, NOT the person who lost their job and is then sent to the Outplacement firm to go thru their program.
The original message might be a PR effort to gauge/raise awareness of LHHarrison. That's what it sounds like to me. |

Thank you for your response. I have no affiliation whatsoever with LHH. I am just someone off the street who wants to hear from those who have utilized an outplacement service, and what their experiences might have been like. No conspiracy theory applicable here.
If anyone out there has worked with an outplacement firm I would definitely be interested in whether or not you thought it was worth the time and expense. I am pretty skeptical at this point.
