In Reply To: I don't think you should be worried at all if you just graduated in May 04. Several of people that graduated with me (in 02) took about a year to find a real job. You are actually in a pretty good position because you have the time to really decide what it is you want to do. Employers are also very understanding that it is harder to get a "real job" right after graduation and you are working, so it shows them that you are motivated. Just decide what kind of job you really want and then start to network (talk to people in that field) with everyone that you can. But in all seriousness, if you only graduated in 04, you definitely shouldn't start stressing out yet. Good luck.
Message: At least you have a temp job. That's a good thing. You have to be practical and do NOT be so stressed about jumping into the work world. You have the rest of your life to work. I've been working for 2 years since I graduated, liked that I gained experience early but again I'm having trouble finding a job where I'd like to relocate to-NY. I jumped at the first descent opportunity I had and honestly that's kind of what you need to expect from a first job. Don't set your aim too high.
