In Reply To: My personal opinion: If he recommended you, he must think highly of you, and probably wouldn't be perturbed by a follow up call - but it may be too soon. (Maybe you should wait until mid-week - I'm not sure...) Also, if you just want to "touch base" or keep your name fresh in his mind - but also don't want to seem like a pest - you could call his work number very early or late in the day, when you're likely to get his voice mail. A message may be less intrusive, depending on how busy he is. As far as what you should say... I would just mention that you interviewed with so-and-so, you think the conversation went well, you're hoping to move to the next step of the process, thanks again for the recommendation, and you look forward to hearing from the company again soon. Something along those lines. Good luck!
