I normally write a thank you note , within 2 days,telling them my interest in the job and why I think I should get it.
A week or more later, I give them a call to check on whats happening.
Remember they will not disqualify you for calling to check out. And you have nothing to lose.

I actually did send them a thank you note. Thanx for the advice. I think i will email them tomorrow.
