Just got back from a 2 year stint to Germany; it's very difficult to get a work permit unless a Germany company is recruiting you. Your IT skills could be a plus. German companies normally have to have the job open to local nationals and show that they can't fill the position before going outside of Germany. Probably want to contact companies in Germany (i.e. Siemens, etc.). |

I just got back from 5 years in Munich (I'm not IT).
Just as the IT industry in the states has been hevily impacted, so too has the German industry. Add this to the fact that the German economy is much worse off than most of the original EU countries and you 'll find it will be really rough to find something good unless you're stellar.
Are you EU perchance? That at least levels the playing field..
