If there is anyone out there that has ever been terminated from a position
1)How long did it take you to find an employer willing to hire you?
2)How did you explain your termination during the interview?
I have been unemployed for over 6 months and explaining why I was terminated is getting harder and harder. The real reason: my boss and I were like oil and water and the person that replaced me has since left as well-it REALLY is my boss that's the problem. My reason during the interview: I was not the right fit for the position. This explanation is obviously not working for me. |

I was fired once with a similar situation. And it took my old company anothe 18 months to realize it was my boss's problem, and not me. (They finally fired him). But by the time that happened, my visa expired and I was back in the US. It took my a VERY long time to get the similar job like the one I had before....say a good 2 yrs. The key is "STAY EMPLOYED". Take the jobs even is not ideal, but it pay the bills, and it shows that you can deal with tough times than just sitting at home and moan. And during interview, just tell them it didn't really work out the way it should be. It's just personal conflict and he was the boss.
