I guess those vows only apply to the richer part and not the poorer part. I haven't found out about the sickness part yet, but I think I can predict what's going to happen.
I guess you are right about the MBA, but I think if I were to get an advanced degree, I'd get a JD.

Alaric - I had a similar situation. I was handsomely employed when I met and married my former wife. After I lost my job and was unemployed for a long period looking for a similar position, she found a higher paying job and left me with nothing. I suggest you keep things as smooth as possible and when you get your next position, get rid of her. Character is something someone either has or doesn't. She'll not discover it later. my .02
