At least your spouse is supportive. I just finished up arguing with my spouse who is totally unsupportive and antagonistic towards me. We argue frequently to the point where I get physically ill and I get so depressed that I can't function. That makes a difficult situation almost unbearable. To top it all off, she resents having to go out and look for a job to help out with the bills and get some benefits until I can either find a job myself or get my consulting business off the ground.
Unfortunately, BS and MBA degrees don't carry as much weight as they used to. I am finding more and more that prospective employers are tending to require that you now have a PhD and all kinds of exotic qualifications before they will even entertain the notion of calling you up for an interview for jobs that only required a BS degree a few years ago.

You're right-I think an MBA is so commonplace now. I think I have a better chance of getting a position with it than without it though.
That sucks about your spouse...hmm...what was that vow about richer or poorer, sickness and health...
