I'm looking for a job and feel like the online application process and resume submission is pretty futile. I get the impression that people generally snag interviews by knowing people at the company they??d like to get an interview at.
Unfortunately, I haven??t been much of a networker. My friends aren??t in my industry (software development) and can??t help me out much. So how does one get a good job without knowing having good contacts?
