...I graduated in the 93 ... "It's the Economy Stupid" ... and spent five months afterward in the fetal position. Only after I landed a mindless, temporary job did I regain my self-worth.
get ANY job with a GOOD company, ... I'm talking about a temp position sweeping floors.
"Believe in the power of work" ... Universities are in the business of selling classroom seats... the promise of a high-earning career is how they fill those seats... For the most part, it's not a dishonest pitch, but a degree has become akin to not having two-heads, ... it's assumed. It's a wonderful thing to be "educated", having a curiousity and thirst for knowledge is even better ... but today's companies are soley interested in how you can earn or save them money, so be prepared to explain how you can accomplish this. The answer may take you a decade or two to arrive at.
You're on your own, the sooner you realize that, the better.
I have 12 years of fairly impressive experience, I'm now considering going into plumbing ... |

I'm thinking of becoming an electrician. The money is better, and the demand is inelastic.
Still, our friend may have a serious illness. VERY SERIOUS. He needs a doctor too.
