I had a F2F interview & the guy finally returned my call 2 weeks later. He told me that he was moving forward with another candidate, but wanted to know if I would be interested in a position one step below the position I interviewed for (which would be a lateral move from where I am now). That would mean that I would be reporting to the person I was interviewing against for the original position. He also mentioned that all the feedback was great & bascially the final candidate was chosen by his manager (without her talking to ANY of the candidates, just by the resume). I'm not happy with my current position, more the overall environment and lack luster team. Would you move forward with this position or tell this guy to shove it?
