How about applying for a job, spending over a month going through two telephone interviews and three face-to-face interviews, having your references checked, and then receiving word that they "decided to fill the position with an internal candidate"?
The latest indignity was when I was told by another company that I won't be reimbursed for my interview expenses until I fill out an employement application form....even though I was turned down for the job!!! |

I sure hope that you raised hell with the company that said you had to fill out an employment application in order for them to cut you an expense check. I'd bitch to HR and to everyone you dealt with at the company. That is utterly idiotic. What do they do when they need to reimburse vendors, make them also fill out an employment application?!?
