In Reply To: Hey, I (female) am starting my first job, and was told the dress code is "Business Casual" Please advise on how to shop for it. e.g. example of bascis, and style. Or any website with actual picture may help. thanks!!!
Message: If you're looking for pics, you might want to try anntaylor.com or even talbots.com. Some might be a bit older for your taste, but you'll get the idea. Think classic, classy and professional. Always. Color is ok. Micro anything is never ok. Forget these words: sheer, "fitted", fun, flirty. You might start with a few good pieces i.e. slacks, skirt, jacket, blouses -- salespeople at these stores are really tremendously helpful. Get a look at what your boss wears --- not a colleague --- and use as a guide. And go easy on the makeup. Finished, but not trendy. Again, a department store makeover is a really great place to start. And, best of luck!
