Hi everyone,
I just graduated in May, and began working at my current position at the end of June. Love the position, and is good stuff. However, for various personal and family reasons, I need/want to relocate to Texas (preferably Dallas or Austin).
My questions are:
a-Should I put the current position on my resume and how do I explain it to the prospective employer? I feel I should because not only are the two jobs in the same industry, I've been put on many projects already that are directly applicable to the positions I'd be applying for.
b-Leave it out. This could be a problem, especially when I interview with them...? However, I don't want to look like a "job-hopper"
Thanks for any advice you all can provide!

Ok the biggest question is, have you told your current employer about your plans to move? Basically, would you use them as a reference. Generally it is a rule that when applying for a new job you list your current one, and the future employer does not contact them unless they are seriously considering you for a job. You may want to talk to your boss about your personal reasons for moving and express how you value the assets the company has given you blah blah blah, transfer possibilites? Unless you are willing to be upfront with your company and know they will back you I wouldn't put it on your resume. You're young and many people our age are jobless so it does not look badly upon you. Perhaps you could bring up your current employment in an interview when they ask about experience instead and express your same feelings you've put on here.
