Message: I'm in the process of revising my resume and have a question regarding format. I graduated college in 02 and have been working since. I started work at Thomson Financial, but quickly moved to a small investment boutique and have been in my current position for almost a year and a half. I am currently weighing my options between going back to business school or searching for another job. I have been dealing with 3 headhunters in an attempt to revise my resume and find potential openings in the areas of investment research (junior or associate levels). Each of the three headhunters believes in a different resume style, whether it be chronological, functional or some variation of both. Does one of these formats make more sense for someone looking at investment research or is it just a personal choice? I have not updated my resume in the year and a half that I've worked in my current position and it is currently structured in the format of objective, education, qualifications, experience and then honors/activities. Is this format OK or should I look to change it? Any input would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
