I'm in the same boat as you, so let me offer a suggestion that may sound stupid or brilliant...One advantage you have is that Boston and DC are not that far away by train. If you're not employed full-time right now, you might think about getting an Amtrak pass for one month so you can go to Boston as often as you like and still return home to search over the Internet. I would try temp firms so at least you'll be gainfully employed in Boston while you're looking for a "permanent" job. If you can work it out, you might even consider commuting temporarily by train from DC while you are working out moving logistics. (I just wish I lived closer to MY destination city.) |

I live in Columbus right now and am trying to relocate to LA. I have had to fly out twice since August. Everyone keeps asking when I plan on moving, and when I do, then I should contact them. Moving w/o a job lined up scares me too much so I just tell them that it is not a problem for me to fly out to interview. I had a interview w/ MGM for a financial analyst pos. on Tues and it went really well, so they are considering giving me a ph interview for my final. Just my situation. I have been doing this for a while in NYC and for LA. I might be able to answer specific questions if you have them.
