Message: Should I be pestering headhunters and HR managers who are ignoring and/or misleading me? For instance, I found a job advertised through a headhunter service that I feel I'm very qualified for, but the headhunter hasn't responded to my resume or e-mails asking for an update (been about 10 days now). Secondly, I've been haggling with an HR manager of a major company for over 2 months now (basically, she's been stringing me along with vague promises). About 2 weeks ago I bluntly asked if an interview was going to happen or not and she said that she was authorized to set up an interview to take place within two weeks between me and the company. That never happened and the one time I called in the interim she said that she was "very busy." Normally if I'm treated like this I just write them off. One or two have actually contacted me later to offer an interview and in one case a job. Is my strategy right? Should I continue to pursue such leads with frequent e-mails and phone calls and risk appearing desperate or should I ignore them and see if they come around?
