I have an interview with Randall & Dewey which is Jefferies' Energy, Power, Oil and Gas group located in Houston. Currently I'm an analyst and am very swamped, like the rest of us, so info before I even decide to take a day off and fly across the country there is much appreciated.
I am interested in this opp, why?:
1. Advancement (don't want to be assoc where I am now)
2. Awesome/hot sector (always wanted to enter it)
3. Group has a lot of experienced bankers
What is the group like down there (culture, attitudes, work hours, retention)? Are people friendly and is it a true "team" atmosphere?
Is the support staff actually useful?
Resources - does Jefferies have solid/enough resources to do the job (e.g. data subs, etc...)?
Is the comp at Jefferies market +?
