In Reply To: I just got an offer and I was wondering if it would appropriate for me to refer a friend even though I haven't started yet? The reason is because I know there are some openings and my friend is looking, so I didn't want him to miss out on the opportunities. Also, how much is the referral bonus? THANKS!
Message: If youre one of their "top hires" and feel like this guy is in the same range talk to the first person you interviewed with. If you've got a good repo (which is obvious) say that you're looking forward to starting but also know a lot of other really well qualified candidates that are looking for a firm like JPMC... tell them based on your interaction, they'd be great fits and see the ball roll if it does. The best that can happen is that they get an interview. The worst is that they ignore it. They wont take away your offer. There's all upside and really no downside.
