In Reply To: Remember that I said those were the upper ranges for the super-star analysts. Most will receive less. It's true that JPM has a history of being on the lower end of bonuses. For instant, I believe they were among the lowest paying for IB analysts last year, with citigroup hitting the 100% mark and ML actually going to about 120% (which was really crazy to see). JPM did do better matching industry averages for associate and VP levels this year (yay $700k bonuses) As for the PB analysts in NYC -- Yes, they work longer hours. I'm more familiar with the life / work of the banker analysts and not the product roles. I think you are correct that products hours are not as bad. Banker support analysts have to do a lot of client focused work (obviously) which can lead to being on the hook at odd hours. You might need to be in the office at 10pm which the Senior Banker is wining and Dining. As for who I am -- it's come up before. And, as RGardens (who's been gone for a while -- where are you?) and I have said, it's probably best we don't say too much. I'll give you this. a) NYC b) Not in, nor ever have or will be in HR c) Work directly with many LOB's to cover my business.
Message: MC - do you have an email I can ask you some questions? Don't need a quick reply or anything.
