I like your point. As for where I see myself in 3-5 years is probably in Private Equity. Not because I have been dreaming about it since I was six, but because that's what I've heard is best for I-bankers. Plus having spoken with people, it seems to be a natural transition. The hours are less intense and the pay is more than in I-banking. What are your thoughts? |

(2) In othe words, what skills/experience are you looking for from IB?
As you answer think what PE firms are looking for.
That should answer whether the Bear is a good choice for you.
(3) Pay Comparison
Depends where you work in IB banking and where you work in PE.
Much of PE comp potential is performance of the underlying investee companies based. I know a guy at a small boutique investment firm who had a co-investment with his firm in
DMarc.
