I have an offer to go with IB Ops; having gone to a non-targer school I had trouble getting interviews for better positions. Since it is the only offer I have right now, I'm planning on taking it but I want to know if its really that bad and if I should keep slugging it out and looking for another job(though I feel like my options are fairly limited at this point and letting this pass would be very risky). JPMC Imp or JPMC-MS, can you shed any light on my situation? |

... it's better than nothing, for sure. Having a few years of JPMC on your resume won't hurt. You'll just need to take initiative in the role. You'll need to make the opportunities for yourself -- look for advancement potential pro-actively. It's just a very easy place to get stuck doing the same thing day after day with no chance of advancing.
Put it this way, if you want to be a banker but are in ops, you'll probably resent the role quite a lot. You'll need to get over that and make the best of it.
