RGardens,
In my preparation for interviews, I'm trying to do firm specific research. I have a few questions I was hoping you could answer for me:
1) Where can I find industry specific league tables online? I want these league tables for the Technology, Healthcare, Media, Financial Services, Consumer Products, Industrials, and Energy industries.
2) When I get a first/second round interview with a firm, will I be able to ask my contact who I will be interviewing with? I'd like to find out this information so I can do research on their specific groups so I have better questions to ask them.
3) What sort of interview preparation would you recommend as far as researching individual firms? What are all the sources/websites I should be consulting while interviewing with say, JPMC, or GS?

Finally an answer to your questions.
On Line League Table Info
(1) In general, the level of detail you're looking for is published on a subscriber basis. I'll assume you are cost constrained and are looking for freebies.
(2) The usual suspect providers of these services are: Thompson Financial, DealLogic, IDD
(3) IDD
For starters, go to http://www.iddmagazine.com/idd/weeklyheadlines.cfm, you'll find some general league table stuff but not as granular as your request.
(4) Thompson Financial
And to http://www.thomson.com/financial/investbank/fi_investbank_league_table.jsp
Again macro league tables.
There are some analyst names given here. Invest in a phone call, all they can say is ??no?? which is where you are if you don??t call.
(5) Got a Friend in IB?
Of course, someone in IB will have access to subscriber data on league tables and could provide the detailed league table you??re looking for
(6) Check annual industry reviews, deals of the year stuff: IFR, Banker, Euromoney, Institutional Investor, etc.
Specialist mags like Telecom Finance http://www.telecomfinance.com/nodes/Main-Pages/Main-Pages/About-Us.html
You will have to take out your begging bowl again. There are contact names for freebies.
