Hi...I would like feedback regarding the career outlook at JPMorgan Partners. I saw an opportunity for a project manager in their technology division. I was curious if they operated differently than the parent company which seems to have hardships with the merger. Also, the role is AVP-level in NY. Any idea on comp, benefits, bonus, etc? Thanks for your feedback. |

I wouldn't be too keen on this opportunity. Earlier this year, JPMP announced that it was spinning off from its parent company, and the future of the technology/finance group has been uncertain to say the least. This group is to return to Corporate, so it's not looking too good that pay/bonuses are going to stay at the level it was when technology/finance was part of the private equity group. Currently, the strategy is for the group to become an administrator for other private equity firms. Not the most exciting work. Also, this group has experienced an alarming amount of turnover in the last 12 months. Most of the good people have left, and are being replaced with people who are not the sharpest. Morale is still pretty low, with the expectation that anyone who is still left will leave after they receive their bonus in January. You can certainly throw your name in the hat for this position, but it won't be in the best working environment, nor for competitive compensation. Hope this helps.
