Tell me how many times, Warren Buffett, Bill Ruane, or Peter Lynch bought a stock because a brokerage analyst told them about it. Management will talk to you, Steve Ballmer probably wont take your call if you own 2 million worth of MSFT but that is a special case. |

Point taken. Guess I'm surprised management (not Steve Balmer) would take the time to field questions from a firm who could only purchase an very very small portion of their equity. But hey, I'm not working in the field as of now. Thanks.
I mentioned sell side analysts on a similar note. Not that you would simply take positions in what they were soliciting. Rather, I've heard that if you had a miscellaneous question about a company/industry you could often get research help from a sell side analyst covering that company/industry in depth. Is this not the case?
Last questions. Alex, are all of these facets of IM discussed in the Vault IM industry report? Also, when are you guys coming out with a revision? I see that the latest report was released in 2002.
