Congrats on passing L-3.
Will financial modelling experience (on transactions like m&a, ipo, lbo etc.) with one of the Big 4 A/c firms help me to get into IM ? Or will this be viewed more as sell side of things. |

You know, I'm in your boat as well. I'm trying to break into the industry.
I don't think they'd really care where you learned how to model. But I suppose it would depend on the firm. A small shop I'm interviewing for right now asked to receive writing/modeling samples. Other colleagues of mine who currently working in the industry say their respective firms never do any financial modeling.
