Message: CIM group is a good shop overall. They are active in the market, well capitalized, and seem to be in a growth mode. They are primarily a developer of urban mixed-use projects, with a focus on redevelopment. They are also a quasi-institutional investment manager, with funds under management, which they use for their own projects as well as in equity or mezzanine investments in third party projects. I hear they are above average in terms of compensation, whatever that means. I would tend to think the acquisitions role would draw on a development background. Most of their growth seems to be in project management functions and internal financial functions. If you found an acquisitions role with CIM, I would chase it, as like most acquisitions departments, they tend to run lean with little turnover. good luck.
