If someone can give some real world insight into what exactly does buy side, sell side mean? What does working with a hedge fund entail? I have looked around for this info but haven't hit on anything that informative enough. |

buyside are investors - private equity, vc, hedge funds.
Sellside are the i-banks selling their research, issues to the investors.
