My firm does offer individual security analysis but not SELECTION. How does that work? We get the information about the holding from the money managers. Several time we have to look into individual security were we have heavy exposure.
Also regarding all below advice does Equity differ from Fixed income. i.e. fixed income asset allocation experience more useful than equity etc etc
