I am thinking about taking the CFA Level 1 in June '04 and I was wondering if it is necessary to use the textbooks that they suggest or if I can just use the textbooks I have from undergrad (I was a finance major). I would rather not spend the extra $700 or so on books if it isn't really necessary. What do people who have taken it or are currently studying think?
