Does anyone know anything about Lazard asset management? Is it a good IM company to start a career.

Lazard is a hell hole. I can tell you by personal experience. Core equity product has unperformed almost every year out of the past ten years. Unless you kiss the asses of the appropriate people, don't expect a long career there.
