Do you read the Wall Street Journal, Mr. 4.0?
If you did, you'd know that both of these fields are slightly fucked right now. Excluding their summer interns, do you know how many IB associates Salomon Smith Barney took in recruiting this year?
Six.
Job security in both fields is non-existent right now, but so what. It sounds like you don't have the balls / means to cut in New York anyway.
But hey, there's always Schwab and Fidelity - your fly-over country standbys - er . . . no, now wait a second, they just cut 13% and 10% respectively, too! Oh, and one other thing: Lehman is making plans to cut 10% as we speak.
So, Mr. 4.0. Looks like yer graduating at the wrong time. Time to sing the cabana boy blues.
