Sounds like you're stressing over finding the exact "right" job tomorrow. Don't. Life is an exploration. To the extent that you're don't know exactly what you want right now then explore areas that you're interested in. If you're interested in investment management, then explore it with the job that will teach you the most about it. If you decide its not for you, then move on. Once you realize that its about finding the work that suits you the best, then money doesn't become that big of an issue.
To find out more about you concerns you can talk to people who can answer your questions -- that's what informational interviews are for. Don't let concerns drag your thinking. Eliminate or validate them through gathering evidence. The best way to gather evidence is to interview people in jobs you're interested in.
Also, in a down economy, good jobs are not handed out like they were in the past -- you have to earn them. |
