How can you not mention Boston when talking about the buy-side? Boston is the fourth largest money management capital in the world (behind NYC, Tokyo and London) and is light-years ahead of Chicago and San Fran (ever hear of Fidelity, Putnam maybe?). If you want to be an analyst but don't like NYC, Boston by far has the most jobs.

Yes, Boston does have a ton of buy-side jobs. But, I was trying to keep our career switcher closer to his hometown of DC. Now, if you want to go "all out" why not look at Denver or Milwaukee?
