I'm considering making a transition from private banking to investment consulting and want to hear what firms have the best reputations -- top people, top clients. Also, I prefer global firms.
I am interested both in the pension-plan-focused firms and the private-client-focused group of Investment Consulting firms. |

Cambridge Associates is tops for Investment Consulting for large universities and foundations, but they do little with pensions. They have a modest family client list, mostly very HNW that already have investment offices. Global... sort of... they say they've got offices in London and Singapore in addition to 3 stateside offices.
