the series 7 has to be sponsored by a broker/dealer so if you ain't working, you can't get it. as for the cfa, you have to have FINISHED your bachelor's. and then you get a packet from AIMR and it costs like 300 to register and 200 to take each test which is offered once a year. there are 3 levels which you take 1 a year. so if you are good and pass each year (annual pass rate is about 60 which goes down as you take the harder tests) after 3 years of taking tests and you've also got to work concurrently in a finance job (even accounting counts) you get your cfa designation. anyone can study for it and i think it's good info to know if you want to be a money manager. just go on to the aimr website and start looking around for info. |

...unless they;ve changed the rules, you can take the Level I exam before you graduate, as long as you graduate during the calendar year you take the exam.
