I am currently pursuing (first semester) a Masters of Finance (MSF) and would like to know how valuable those credentials will be versus a CFA designation. I've noticed very few MSF programs which leads me to believe there is little demand for them, possibly due to the value gained from the (much more cost effective) CFA. If the two are comparable or if the CFA is "better," I might consider haulting the MSF program in exchange for full time work while studying for the CFA exams.

You'll encounter professionals with the CFA and/or MBA, but rarely the MSF.
