Can anyone give me a breakdown of the types of junior and senior level positions that are typical in a Fidelity-type IM group? I assume there are various levels of junior and senior positions up to full PM based on experience and credentials, but I have no idea what they are or where I might fit in.
I have 3 years experience in a bulge bracket equity research department and am a CFA charterholder. I do not have an MBA but am in an MBA-level position here. I am thinking about a transition to the buy side in a year or so, but I have no idea what level of position I should target and what the compensation structure is likely to be for the different levels.
Any advice or info is much appreciated. Thanks all!
