In Reply To: I am trying to find Simon to investigate them. Where are they located and is the school under another name, or is it the Simon university, etc?
Message: This school is a top 25 program. If you cant succeed with a degree from this school, it is due to a rough break or inability to perform adequately on the job. The fact that the other guy even mentioned that he thinks it might be him makes it clear that most likely deep down he knows it is something in his job performance at his most recent job, coupled with poor timing in a down job market. Tough spot no doubt, my condolenscences go out ot him, however, he might find tremendous value in the near future. If that is where you want to go, and you beleive you associate with the culture there - go and be the best you can be - change the world. Just an opinion. Oh, if you want to manage money, and do research, the CFA is basically a given whether you have the MBA or not. The MBA will add value to your ability to progress upwardly. The CFA will enable you to gain the respect needed in the industry, and possibly round out your research skills. The combo will make you extremely marketable as lomng you back up your pedigree with performance. Best of luck to you. Post what you decide on doing.
