I graduted two years ago from London School of Economics where I read International relations - I am a Spanish national.
I have been doing research on security/defence related issues. What do you consider would be the best route to get into Inv. Management, either to do a MBA or rather to do a Master very specialised in Investment Management?
I have also a great interest in Emerging Markets - Latin America.
Thanks in advance...

The following only applies to london, I don't know about the US:
Any MBA or Masters in Finance (MiF) will give you the basic skills to get hired, you don't need to do an Investment Management one specifically. A MiF or MBA also means you have a fall-back position of doing sell-side research for a few years before going into investment management.
The quality of the institution is much more important than the specific course. In Europe, I would aim for London Business School, or Insead. For someone who's already worked in finance a one year Masters in Finance (e.g.LBS) or the Insead MBA (also 1 year)is a good option.
If not though, a 2-year mba gives you time to network and do an internship which is helpful for if you're changing careers.
You mentioned a Masters in Investment management...are you talking about the City university course? If so, my personal view is avoid it like the plague. Every person I asked about the course (at sell-side firms, admittedly) advised NOT going there.
