Hi everyone. I'm really interested in becoming a market technical analyst. I am a senior and will graduate soon. I can't find any career specific info on this position, and I'm really grateful if anyone could give me any insight on the issue. I don't even know companies that employs technical analysts. The placement office where I'm at don't even know what the thing is because there's no specific course or major for this field. I do appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks! |

The New York Institute of Finance has some courses on TA (check their web page). Also, major banks, brokers and financial institutions hire TA. Some examples of the best TA are:
Abby Cohen from Goldman Sacks
Ralph Acampora from Prudential Securities
William Raftery from Salomon Smith Barney
I can suggest you to write a letter to them an maybe you get some response.
There is also an association of technical analyst but I don't know the web page.
