Hello everybody,
This is my first post and I hope I do not ask redundant question.
I am interested in equity research and have a particular industry in mind. I am not
on "traditional" path (biz school etc) but I am studying for CFA. However, the fact that analyst's role
in I-Banks are open to certain (real or perceived) constraints (from clients, firm etc) I would like
to start in more independent environment.
Can somebody recommend the kind of institution (names would be appreciated) that would be
suitable?
Thanks.

CyberGene! look into www.equitymodel.com. solid DCF models that update every minutes. research is geared towards buy-sides pros who know sell-side research is unfortunately tainted (what else do you expect if they share the same bonus pool at the end of the day)
